Uh....DUH!
How appropriate that our very first writing piece on our new & BEAUTIFUL website would be all about how we nearly betrayed our “DNA”!
If you’ve read our landing page, you’d read how invested we are in being transparent about the ‘not so perfect’ areas of our lives. You would read honest words about how we’re on a journey to let other’s see inside our lives & hopefully find hope & encouragement that it’s ok if they find themselves in a ‘not so polished’ stage of life, either. So there it is - in plain view - written by US - and yet, our website could have been launched WEEKS ago… had we recognized that we were unconsciously waiting for everything to be PERFECT before we clicked that cute little “launch your site” button on our Administrator page.
I (Bree) was the primary culprit, if we’re being honest here. I thought I should wait until we got photos & a logo that “matched our vision” before launching. I wanted anyone who landed on our page to not only “see” the vision written down but I wanted them to FEEL it through pictures. I wanted everything in a pretty, sparkly package before launching. So there I was today, getting ready to head out and I was having an internal conversation with myself, telling my inner-Bree how much I was dying to blog but ‘couldn’t yet’ until ‘we got the photo shoot & logo done’. And then suddenly, out of what felt like the utter-invisible-empty-space-referred-to-as-”the blue” - inner Bree said to outer-Bree: “Um…. but isn’t the whole point of your website to give people permission to be ‘in process’ and to not have to have everything perfect? Why does everything need to be perfect before you launch? Shouldn’t you just launch and let people see the process of the website’s process? Let them grow along with it?”
Uhhhhhhh……. HELLO!!!!! Inner-Bree, you’re a freaking Jedi-monster-master. How is it that you’re SO utterly brilliant?
It was the size-15 shoe I needed wedged inside my butt to say: “UH. DUH!!! YES!!!! ABSOLUTELY! Let’s just launch it as-is and get this journey on the road!”
So here it is, folks - Wereinprocess.com - not yet aesthetically perfect… not yet ‘fully together’… not yet all ‘in-sync’. But it’s here and we’re SO EXCITED to welcome you to our journey!!!! We hope you find peace with your own journey, courage to continue bravely and confidently traveling it, and find a voice that echoes hope to other’s in their own process. <3
